# Vial - Bootloader Entry

This should work for any of our keyboards running Vial, there are other methods of entry e.g. hardware boot button, bootloader keycode, bootmagic but these can vary a little between devices.

### Navigate to [https://vial.rocks](https://vial.rocks/)

You need to use a chrome based browser for this to work, otherwise you'll need to download the offline Vial client from <https://get.vial.today/>.

You should be see the following page, click `Start Vial`.

### Select your keyboard

You'll get a pop up with a list of devices, select the correct one and click \`Connect\` in this example we're using a Lily58 Pro R2G

### Main Interface

After a few seconds you should see a rough representation of your device.

### Requesting Bootloader Entry

Select `Security` at the top and then click `Reboot to bootloader` , this will pop on a message.

### Unlocking

To enter bootloader the device needs to be unlocked, in Vial this requires holding 2 keys for a period of time. The keys to hold will be highlighted. Keep holding the 2 keys until the progress bar at the bottom fills completely.

You may get an error when this process completes it can safely be ignored.

### USB Drive

It's very likely the device you've received uses .uf2 files for flashing, if so you'll see a USB drive appear with the name `RPI-RP2`.

### Flashing Firmware

Drag the correct .uf2 file into the drive. This may take a few seconds to complete, the USB drive will disappear when completed.
