First, let's check the contents of your kit with the BOM listed above. In the unlikely event anything is missing or something appears to be damaged, please don't hesitate to give us a message on our support page linked at the bottom of the page. We recommend reading through the whole guide before starting so you don't miss any notes.
Once everything's ready, we can jump straight in. Let's start by installing 5 standoffs and 4 feet to each half of the acrylic bottom plate. Be careful not to overtighten the screws as this can cause the acrylic to crack or break.
Take note of the orientation, once you have done both halves it should look a little like the pictures below.
Next, we can install 2 more standoffs into each half of the PCB, these will be used to mount your OLED covers later.
Then pop a few switches into the plate, place it over the PCB, taking care to check the switch pins line up with hotswap sockets, and push them into place. Once you’re happy the rest of the switches can be pushed in one at a time, the process should roughly go like this:
Next up is screwing on the OLED covers, as with screwing in any acrylic, take caution to not over-tighten them as they may crack.
Once they're in place you can place the PCB on top of the bottom plate and screw them together, this should complete your build!
Now that your build is complete, you can double check it's all working in VIA. If you’ve ran into any problems along the way, or spotted anything you think might improve this guide, let us know here and we’ll be eternally grateful!
